We
are pleased to send you the new poster for the Master in Economics and
Finance (MEF) offered by the Department of Economics and Statistics of
the University of Naples Federico II. We would be grateful if you could
make this information visible in your department, and bring it to the
attention of your best undergraduate students.
The
MEF program aims at training students for a career as economists in
academic institutions or in research departments of corporations, public
organizations, financial institutions and the government. The program
is a 9 month intensive course and it is entirely taught in English. It
has an established track record, having already been offered for 20
years. Graduates from previous editions have been very successful in
professional or academic careers.
The
Master's courses provide an integrated training in finance,
microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. Courses are taught by
faculty with proven track-record in graduate teaching and research,
recruited from Italian and non-Italian universities. The target number
of participants is 20, and it is deliberately low to allow instructors
to devote individual care to students. Tuition fees are 3.000 euro per
year. The cost of student living in Naples is between 600 and 700 Euro
per month. Fellowships up to 6.000 euro are available for the best
students who apply for financial support.
Applications can be submitted until June 29th for non EU students and July 28th for EU students but early applications are encouraged. The first round of admissions will be effected in early April.
As
coordinators of the Master program, we thank you in advance for
bringing this program to the attention of suitable applicants from your
school.
Yours sincerely
